About Sliding
Sliding doors move on a track, with one or more panels sliding behind or past a fixed panel, rather than swinging on a hinge. Because no panel needs clearance to swing open, they work well where furniture or floor space is tight on either side of the doorway.
They typically offer a wide, largely glazed opening: a common choice connecting a living room to a patio, deck, or balcony where you want an open, uninterrupted view when closed and an easy wide opening when you want it.
