Doors — Lift & Slide
uPVC Lift & Slide Doors
Large, heavy sliding panels that lift slightly off their seal before moving, then drop back down to seal tight when closed — built for openings too large or heavy for a standard sliding door. Tell us your pin code and how many you need.
About Lift & Slide
Lift and slide doors work like a sliding door, but the operating handle first lifts the panel slightly off its bottom seal before it slides — spreading the panel's weight onto rollers rather than dragging it across a seal, which is what makes handling a much larger, heavier panel manageable. Closing does the reverse: the panel drops down onto a compressed seal for a tighter close than a standard slider typically achieves.
They're generally chosen for larger openings than a standard sliding door can handle well, where a slide-and-fold door's multiple panels aren't wanted and a single large glass expanse is the goal instead.
