About Slide & Fold
Slide and fold (sometimes called bi-fold) doors use a series of panels connected by hinges, which fold against each other as they slide along a track and stack together at one or both ends of the opening.
Because most or all of the panels can be pushed out of the way, they're typically chosen for a much wider opening than a standard sliding or French door gives — a common pick for connecting a living space to a large patio or garden where you want the wall to essentially disappear when fully open.
